Tea & Taster Experience

The Tea & Taster day went really well. I got in and had a meeting with the manager Julie again and we spoke we spoke a lot about the company itself and how it operates as a business and all the important roles within those processes. I was given some booklets with further information and also a breakdown of the retails positions and training available.

I was very surprised of the flexibility within the company that a volunteer has for example you could choose to learn everything or you can specialise and ask for training for specific roles depending what you are interested in. I think I would be suited to a lot of roles within the company especially working at the till, serving customers and answering the phone which all comes under the till operator role.

Although a pleasant and interesting experience, I've still to consider the need of my presence during the End of Year Show prep so if I do take on this voluntary work I need to choose my dates carefully. Thankfully they are aware that I'm sill studying and that I still have further commitments to college but as a volunteer I am able to choose whatever days and hours I would like to work so hopefully I can come to an agreement of some kind.
